Our Story
Three years ago the Division of Student Affairs supported the establishment of an organizational unit to coordinate the campus outreach efforts to local and regional schools. The Department of Academic Preparation Programs (APP) was created. As APP pursues its mission we do so from a position of experience, expertise, and energy. APP is firmly established as the vehicle to provide academic preparation and outreach to underserved and underrepresented populations, as well as sustaining and initiating formal school and community educational partnerships within the region. Our educational partnerships provide the unique opportunity to link key constituents in developing sustainable systemic change within a regional school environment.
Our Mission
The Mission of the UC Davis Department of Academic Preparation Programs is to prepare and empower students to pursue a postsecondary education.
