APP Algebra Academy
UC Davis Algebra Academies offer students the opportunity to explore key concepts of the algebra curriculum through a wide variety of fun, hands-on, group activities, designed to strengthen their conceptual understanding of Elementary Algebra. Students will experience math in action. They will work together, investigating, analyzing, interpreting, questioning and discussing ideas with fellow students. Students will also work with a variety of computer programs, which support the algebra curriculum. It is the goal of the academy to build a strong foundation while motivating students to continue on to higher-level mathematics courses. The Algebra Academies support the CA State Standards for Algebra 1.
